On September 27, 2021, a spin-off ofOn My Block, titled asFreeridge was ordered to series byNetflix. It is created and executive produced byLauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, Jeremy Haft, Jamie Dooner, and Jamie Uyeshiro.[1] On October 8, 2021,Bryana Salaz,Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ciara Riley Wilson, and Shiv Pai were cast to star.[4] On November 4, 2022,Tenzing Norgay Trainor andPeggy Blow joined the cast in undisclosed capacities.[5] The series was filmed from May 9 to July 5, 2022, in Los Angeles.[6] On December 16, 2022, it was reported that Michael Solomon was cast to star and Trainor is part of the starring cast. The series was released on February 2, 2023.[2] On April 12, 2023, it was reported that the series was canceled after one season.[3]
