Cedric Kelvin Coleman, professionally known by his stage nameFrayser Boy, is an American rapper fromMemphis, Tennessee. He was formerly signed toHypnotize Minds, the record label run byThree 6 Mafia foundersDJ Paul andJuicy J, and had released three studio albums under the label:Gone on That Bay (2003),Me Being Me (2005), andDa Key (2008).[2] At the78th Academy Awards, he won theAcademy Award for Best Original Song for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" along with Three 6 Mafia members Juicy J, Crunchy Black, and DJ Paul.[3]
In 2014, Coleman releasedB.A.R. (Bay Area Representatives), a ten years in the making collaborative project with fellow rapperLil Wyte, and his fourth solo studio album titledNot No Moe, both through Phixieous Entertainment. Same year, he was featured in the documentary filmTake Me to the River along withTerrence Howard,Snoop Dogg,Yo Gotti andAl Kapone among others.[4][5] In 2018, he starred inMuck Sticky-directed drama filmDig That, Zeebo Newton.[6] He is currently working on his fifth solo effort,Gone on That Bay 2, a sequel to his debut full-length.
