Franklin Roosevelt Park is a north-western suburb ofJohannesburg,South Africa, around 8 km northwest ofCity Hall, north ofMontgomery Park and southwest ofLinden.
Franklin Roosevelt Park (commonly abbreviated toRoosevelt Park) was established on 3 March 1948 onWaterval Farm to house veterans ofWorld War II.[2] It was named afterAmerican PresidentFranklin D. Roosevelt.[2] The localEnglish languagehigh school is also named Roosevelt High School. Extension 1 was established on 31 October 1951.[2]
