Frank Montecalvo (born December 28, 1990) is an American racing driver who currently competes in theWeatherTech SportsCar Championship.[1]

Early life

A native ofHighlands, New Jersey, Montecalvo attended high school atSt. John Vianney High School.[2]

Career

In 2012, Montecalvo took part in his first24 Hours of Le Mans, driving forLuxury Racing in the GTE Am class.[3] The team started fourth in class[4] but failed to finish the race, retiring with crash damage after 146 laps. Montecalvo returned to Le Mans in 2014, replacingEnzo Potolicchio in the8 Star Motorsports GTE Am entry.[5][6] In 2015 Montecalvo won the GTA class of thePirelli World Challenge.[7]

Prior to the2019 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, Montecalvo joinedAIM Vasser Sullivan in the GTD class, driving alongsideTownsend Bell.[8] Montecalvo scored his first IMSA victory in August 2020 atRoad America.[9] In 2023, Montecalvo returned for his fifth consecutive season with the team, and his second withAaron Telitz as his co-driver.[10] That season, Montecalvo claimed his second career IMSA victory, supporting a Lexus GT-class sweep at the2023 Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen.[11]

Personal life

As of August 2023, Montecalvo is not a professional racing driver, working a day job at his family's recycling business.[12][13]
