Frank Cynthia Zummo[2] (born July 2, 1978)[3][4] is an American musician, best known as the drummer for rock bandsSum 41[5][6] andStreet Drum Corps.[7]
Zummo is one of the founding members ofStreet Drum Corps. He has performed as the drummer for several other bands, both as a full-time member and session member, includingThenewno2,theStart,Dead By Sunrise,Virgin Steele, andKrewella.[8][9]In August 2009, Zummo filled in forTommy Lee for a string ofMötley Crüe shows.[10] In January 2011, he became the new drummer for the bandJulien-K.
Zummo joined Sum 41 in 2015, following the departure of original drummer and founding memberSteve Jocz in 2013.[11] Zummo has recorded three studio albums with Sum 41, 2016's13 Voices, 2019'sOrder in Decline, and 2024'sHeaven :x: Hell. Zummo went by the name El Dildo (who replaced Deryck Whibley's alter-ego Gunner; who switched to guitar) in Sum 41's alter-egoheavy metal band Pain For Pleasure, where the members of Sum 41 would parody a 1980s metal band.
He has performed drum sets and DJ sets several times at Emo Nite inLos Angeles.[12] Zummo filled in as the drummer forElectric Callboy at the Good Things Festival 2024, mastering their entire set in less than a day after their original drummer David Friedrich had to depart unexpectedly.[13]
