Frank Carter (27 July 1910 – 17 July 1988) was an IrishFianna Fáil politician. A shopkeeper, he was elected toDáil Éireann as a Fianna FáilTeachta Dála (TD) for theLongford–Westmeath constituency at the1951 general election.[1] He was re-elected at the1954 general election but lost his seat at the1957 general election.

He was subsequently elected to the9th Seanad on theLabour Panel. He was re-elected to the Dáil at the1961 general election.[2] He was re-elected at each subsequent general election until he retired from politics at the1977 general election.
