Francis William Tyler (December 11, 1904 – April 11, 1956) was an Americanbobsledder who competed in the late 1940s. Competing in twoWinter Olympics, he won the gold medal in thefour-man event atSt. Moritz in1948.
After the end of each bobsled run, Tyler was known for lighting up acigarette tosmoke, and was even depicted in anadvertisement forCamel cigarettes in 1949.[1]
He died of aheart attack in 1956.
