The HonourableFrancis John Robert Child Villiers (11 October 1819 – 8 May 1862)[1]was a BritishConservative Party politician.
Child Villiers was the fourth son ofGeorge Child Villiers, 5th Earl of Jersey, by his wifeLady Sarah Fane. He was elected as aMember of Parliament (MP) for theborough of Rochester in Kent at the1852 general election[2]andresigned through appointment asSteward of the Chiltern Hundreds on 22 November 1855.[3]
Villiers was appointed a Steward of theJockey Club in 1853.[4]In 1855 he left the country, with £100,000 of betting debts unpaid.[5]
