Fox Nation is an Americansubscription video on demand service. Announced on February 20, 2018, and launching on November 27 of that year,[1] it is a companion toFox News Channel carrying programming of interest to its audience, including originalopinion-based talk shows and documentary-style programs featuring Fox News personalities (which, as with its parent network, are produced from aconservative perspective),outdoor recreation-related programs, and other acquired programming. It also offers next-day streaming of Fox News primetime programs.
The "Fox Nation" name originates from a website Fox News had launched in 2009, which featuredblogs by conservative and liberal commentators.[2] The new service was announced for a debut in late 2018, and was described as catering to "superfans" of the conservative-leaning Fox News—which the network deemed to be "the most loyal audience in cable, if not all of television".[3]
Some of the original programming on the service has includedNuff Said withTyrus, What Made America Great withBrian Kilmeade, andSincerely, Kat, hosted byThe Greg Gutfeld Show panelistKat Timpf.[4][5]Diamond and Silk had a program on Fox Nation, but was canceled by Fox News in March 2020, amid their promotion ofCOVID-19 misinformation.[6][7][8]
In 2020, the service began to acquireoutdoor recreation-themed programming, including acquiring streaming rights to theA&E reality showDuck Dynasty, and premiering the originalhunting seriesFox Nation Outdoors.[5]
On March 29, 2021, the service began to carryTucker Carlson Today, a spin-off ofTucker Carlson Tonight.[9]Tucker Carlson also produced original documentaries for the service under the bannerTucker Carlson Originals.[9]
In May 2021, Fox Nation began to stream Fox News primetime programs (such asTucker Carlson Tonight andHannity) on-demand the day after their original airing, branded as "Fox News Primetime All the Time".[10] It also added a video simulcast ofDan Bongino's syndicated radio show, as part of an agreement for him to host a new Saturday night program on Fox News.[11] In September 2021, Fox Nation announced a revival of former Fox seriesCops for a 33rd season, after having previously been canceled byParamount Network following the policemurder of George Floyd.[12]
In March 2022, Fox Nation announcedDuck Family Treasure, a new reality series starringJase and Jep Robertson ofDuck Dynasty fame.[13] In April 2022, Fox Nation announcedHistoric Battles for America, a historical miniseries narrated byKelsey Grammer.[14] It also acquiredPiers Morgan Uncensored from the British channelTalkTV, which is a sister to Fox News via sister companyNews Corp andNews UK.[15] In September 2022 Fox Nation premiered its first direct-to-streaming film,The Shell Collector, adapted from the novel byNancy Naigle.[16]
In February 2023, it acquired theDan Aykroyd-fronted comedy documentaryA History of the World in Six Glasses.[17] The service has begun to acquirestand-up comedy specials involving conservative-leaning comedians, such asRoseanne Barr (Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!) andRob Schneider (Woke Up in America).[18][19][20]
In June 2023, Fox Nation acquiredCrime Cam 24/7, a caught-on-camera series hosted by Sean "Sticks" Larkin ofLive PD fame.[21] In July 2023, Fox Nation announcedThe Fall of the House of Mardaugh, aMartha MacCallum-hosted docuseries on theAlex Mardaugh murders that would also include an interview with his son Buster Mardaugh.[22] In September 2023, it releasedThe Killer Interview with Piers Morgan, a documentary series in which Morgan interviews convicted killers.[23]
The following month, Fox Nation announcedJesus Crown of Thorns, a docu-drama fromJane Root'sNutopia.[24] During theEaster season in 2024, it also exhibited the dramaThe Chosen and filmThe Passion of the Christ.[25]
The Saints, a docudrama series narrated and presented byMartin Scorsese, debuted on Fox Nation in November 2024.[26]
In 2025, Fox Nation began adding sports programming for the first time. In February, the service announced that the third season of100 Days to Indy, adocuseries focusing on theIndianapolis 500 automobile race, would air on their platform, moving fromThe CW. The show additionally expanded its focus to the entireIndyCar Series season and gained the subtitleRoad to the IndyCar Championship.[27] In July, Fox Nation announced its first live sports agreements with theProfessional Bull Riders team series and withReal American Freestyle wrestling.[28][29]
