Formose Mendy (born 2 January 2001) is a Senegalese professionalfootballer who plays as adefender for EnglishEFL Championship clubWatford on loan from French sideLorient, and theSenegal national team.
On 1 September 2025, Mendy joinedWatford in EnglishEFL Championship on a season-long loan, with an option to buy.[2]
Mendy made his debut forSenegal againstBolivia in September 2022.[3] He was non-playing member of Senegal's squad for the2022 FIFA World Cup inQatar.[4]
In December 2023, he was named in Senegal's squad for the postponed2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in theIvory Coast.[5]
