For the People (Slovak:Za ľudí) is acentre tocentre-right,liberal-conservativepolitical party inSlovakia. It was founded by former PresidentAndrej Kiska in 2019.[13] Kiska became the party's leader at the founding convention on 28 September 2019.[14] Deputy Prime Minister and Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation MinisterVeronika Remišová became the new chair of the party on 8 August 2020, having been elected by delegates at the party congress held inTrenčianske Teplice, defeating her rival candidate, MP andHlohovec mayorMiroslav Kollár.[15]
