TheFlying Graysons are fictional characters appearing inAmerican comic books published byDC Comics. They are a family oftrapeze artists, whose childDick is adopted byBruce Wayne (Batman) and becomesRobin after their deaths.

The Flying Graysons have been featured in several media adaptions outside of comics, commonly as part of Robin'sorigin story.

The Flying Graysons are a group of trapeze artists at Haly's Circus, consisting of father John, mother Mary, and son Dick Grayson.^[1] Crime bossTony Zucco murders the Graysons after the circus' ownerJack Haly refuses to pay him protection money. Following this, Bruce Wayne adopts Dick, who becomes his sidekick Robin.^[2][3]

InBlackest Night, the Graysons are temporarily resurrected asBlack Lanterns.^[4]

Nightwing (vol. 4) reveals that, prior to marrying Mary, John had a daughter named Melinda from a brief relationship with Tony Zucco's wife Meili.
