Flowers originally started out under the namePetit Flower (プチフラワー,Puchifurawā), which was also published byShogakukan.Petit Flower was founded in 1980 as a quarterly magazine, eventually becoming monthly and then ultimately bi-monthly, and became defunct in March 2002. It was relaunched as the monthlyFlowers in April 2002, which, to increase circulation, incorporated such popularBetsucomi serials asYasha and7 Seeds with previousPetit Flower titles. Before ceasing publication,Petit Flower serialized a number of works byMoto Hagio, includingIguana Girl,Mesh,Marginal, andA Cruel God Reigns.
^Yasha was originally serialized inBessatsu Shōjo Comic from 1996 to 2002. It then moved toFlowers, where it ended in 2002.[14]
^Kaze Hikaru was originally serialized inBessatsu Shōjo Comic from 1997 to 2002. It then moved toFlowers, where it ended in 2020.[15]
^Amakusa 1637 was originally serialized inPetit Flower from 2000 to 2002. It then moved toFlowers, where it ended in 2006.[16]
^7 Seeds was originally serialized inBessatsu Shōjo Comic from 2001 to 2002. It then moved toFlowers, where it ended in 2017.[17][18]
^Shitsuren Chocolatier was originally serialized inRinka from 2008 to 2010. It then moved toFlowers, where it ended in 2014.[32][33]
^Nanohana is a single-volume collection of fiveone-shots by Moto Hagio, originally published inFlowers in 2011 and 2012.[34][35]
^Shiki no Zenjitsu is a single-volume collection of sixone-shots by Hozumi. Two were originally published inRinka in 2010 and 2011;[36][37] the remaining four were published inFlowers in 2011 and 2012.[38][39]
