InSikhism, theFive Thieves (Punjabi:ਪੰਜ ਚੋਰ, pronunciation:[pand͡ʒt͡ʃoɝ]), also called thefive evils or thefive vices (Punjabi: ਪੰਜ ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂpaja burā'ī'āṁ),[1] are the five major weaknesses of the human personality at variance with its spiritual essence, and are known as "thieves" because they steal a person's inherentcommon sense. These five thieves arekaam (lust),krodh (wrath),lobh (greed),moh (attachment) andahankar (ego or excessive pride).[2][better source needed]
