Firman Utina (born 15 December 1981) is an Indonesian former professionalfootballer, he normally plays as an attacking midfielder. Throughout his career, Firman has played for several clubs in Indonesia, most notably winning league titles withSriwijaya,Persib Bandung, andBhayangkara.
At national level, Firman played for Indonesia in theunder-19 andunder-23 level, prior to his senior team debut in a2002 FIFA World Cup qualification match againstCambodia in 2001.[1] After his debut, he became regular call-up to the national side for 13 years, participating in four editions of theAFF Championship as well as the2007 AFC Asian Cup. In the latter tournament, he arguably put his best performance when he was chosen asman of the match forIndonesia againstBahrain in a group stage match, which Indonesia won 2–1 due to his contribution for Indonesia's goals.[1] He captainedIndonesia at the2010 AFF Championship and was crowned the tournament's most valuable player.
Firman Utina isMuslim who observes the Islamic month ofRamadan.[2]
