Ficlatuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed for the treatment of cancers.[1]
It is a humanized monoclonal antibody that binds tohepatocyte growth factor, thus inhibiting thec-MET receptor signaling cascade.[2]
Ficlatuzumab was developed by AVEO Pharmaceuticals. In May 2012, AVEO released results of a Phase II clinical trial comparinggefitinib alone and in combination with ficlatuzamab in treatment-naive Asian patients withnon-small cell lung cancer.[3]
