Panzani Ferrety Sousa[1] (born 25 December 1990) is aCongolese professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder and fullback forForward Madison FC inUSL League One.
Born inDemocratic Republic of the Congo, Sousa grew up inRaleigh, North Carolina and began his career with theRailHawks organization, helping lead their U-23 team to a USASA national championship in 2011.
Ferrety played on his first professional club with French sideFCM Aubervilliers for two seasons.
Ferrety signed a contract with theAtlanta Silverbacks in 2013, but didn't make his debut for the club until May 3, 2014, againstOttawa Fury FC atAtlanta Silverbacks Park. Sousa was subbed in at the 83rd minute and was cautioned with a yellow card six minutes later.[2]
On 25 January 2022, Sousa signed with theUSL Championship'sSacramento Republic.[3] He left Sacramento following their 2023 season.[4]
On 26 January 2024,Forward Madison FC announced that it had signed Sousa for the 2024 season.[5]
