Fernando Eimbcke (born 1970) is a Mexican film director and screenwriter.[1]
Fernando Eimbcke studied film direction at theCentro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos of theUNAM (1992–1996). He started his career directing music videoclips and short films.
His feature debut inMexican cinema was the 2004Temporada de patos (Duck Season), which won several Film Festival awards including theAriel Award forBest Film. His next film, the 2008Lake Tahoe, was received positively at theBerlin International Film Festival, winning two awards.
