Felix Großschartner (born 23 December 1993) is an Austrian cyclist, who currently rides forUCI WorldTeamUAE Team Emirates XRG.[5]
Born inWels, Großschartner turned professional in 2012 withRC Arbö–Wels–Gourmetfein. In 2016, he joinedUCI Professional Continental teamCCC–Sprandi–Polkowice. With this team, he competed in his first Grand Tour: the2017 Giro d'Italia.[6]
In September 2017, Großschartner signed a contract to ride for theBora–Hansgrohe team in the 2018 season.[7] In April 2019, Großschartner took his first overall stage race victory at thePresidential Tour of Turkey, having won the summit finish to the ski resort south ofKartepe.[8][9] In August 2019, he was named in the start list for theVuelta a España.[10] In August 2020, he was named in the start list for theTour de France.[11] He achieved his best result in aGrand Tour later that season, by finishing theVuelta a España in ninth place overall.[12] He was again selected byBora–Hansgrohe as their primary general classification contender for the2021 Vuelta a España, and he finished in tenth place overall.[13]
In 2022, Großschartner took his first senior national championship titles, winning both theAustrian National Road Race Championships and theAustrian National Time Trial Championships.[14]
In August 2022, he signed a two-year contract withUAE Team Emirates starting in 2023.[15] In his first year with the team, he finished second overall at theDeutschland Tour and third in theBretagne Classic.[16]
