Fedotozine (INN;JO 1196 for the (-) tartrate salt) is anopioiddrug which acts as aperipherally specificselectiveκ1-opioid receptoragonist with preference for the κ1A subtype.[1] It was under investigation for the treatment ofgastrointestinalconditions likeirritable bowel syndrome andfunctional dyspepsia and made it tophase IIIclinical trials,[1][2][3] but ultimately development was discontinued and it was never marketed.
