Fedor Ivanovič Černych (Russian:Фёдор Иванович Черных; born 21 May 1991) is a Lithuanian professionalfootballer who plays as aforward,attacking midfielder orwinger forA Lyga clubKauno Žalgiris. Born inRussia, he plays and captains forLithuania national team. With 103caps, he is Lithuania's most capped player.
Černych was born inMoscow into a Russian family of Lithuanian descent. When his parents broke up, he went to live inVilnius, Lithuania with his maternal grandparents.
He started his career atGranitas Vilnius [lt], which then played in theLFF II league, South zone. In 2009, Černych signed a contract withDnepr Mogilev.
Černych was loaned in 2012 toNaftan Novopolotsk whenDnepr Mogilev was relegated to the lower league.
In 2014, he signed for Polish clubGórnik Łęczna. In an interview, he said that in Poland most of training was devoted to fitness.[1]
On 26 January 2018, he signed with theRussian Premier League clubDynamo Moscow.[2] On 31 March 2018, he scored his first goal for Dynamo, securing a 2–1 victory overArsenal Tula.[3] On 21 October 2018, he scored the only goal of the game to help Dynamo defeatZenit Saint Petersburg, which was leading the league at the time.[4]
On 21 August 2019, Fedor was loaned toFC Orenburg.[5] On 8 September 2020, his contract with Dynamo Moscow was dissolved by mutual consent.[6] On 17 September 2020, he returned to former clubJagiellonia Białystok.[7]
On 8 January 2023, Cypriot sideAEL Limassol announced reaching an agreement in principle to sign Černych until June 2024, with an option for another year, with the move to be finalized following a medical examination.[8]
On 10 January 2024,Indian Super League clubKerala Blasters announced the signing of Černych, subject to a medical.[9] In June 2024, he signed forKauno Žalgiris.[10]
Černych made his debut forLithuania on 14 November 2012 in a friendly match againstArmenia.[11] A year later, on 11 October 2013, he scored his first international goal in a 2–0 victory overLatvia during the2014 FIFA World Cup qualification.[12]
On 7 June 2025, Černych made his 100th international appearance in a 0–0 draw againstMalta during the2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.[13] Later that year, on 12 October, he matchedSaulius Mikoliūnas' record as the most-capped Lithuanian player, earning his 101st appearance in a match againstPoland during the same qualification campaign.[11] A month later, on 13 November, he earned his 102nd cap, becoming Lithuania's all-time most-capped player in a goalless draw during a friendly match againstIsrael.[14]
