Fauzi bin Abdul Rahman (Jawi: فوزي بن عبدالرحمن) (born 27 August 1946) is aMalaysianpolitician who has served as Chairman ofMyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd since July 2023. He also served as theBoard of directorsMRL East Coast Rail Link (2019-2021). He is a formerDeputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (1997-1999) and formerPahang state chief of thePeople's Justice Party (PKR), a component in thePakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.[1] Fauzi was the formerMember of Parliament forIndera Mahkota (2013-2018) andKuantan (1990-1999).[2] He is also a formerPahang State Assemblyman for Beserah (1999-2004). He also held the position of President of theParalympic Council of Malaysia from 1991 to 2003.
Formerly, he was a member ofUnited Malays National Organisation (UMNO) ofBarisan Nasional (BN) coalition before he quits on 23 July 2008 to joinPeople's Justice Party (Malaysia) (PKR).[3]
His last political position in the Malaysian Parliament was as the Member of Parliament for Indera Mahkota, which he won under PKR in the2013 Malaysia General Election, defeatingWan Adnan Wan Mamat ofBarisan Nasional with a majority of 7,523 votes.
In April 2001, Fauzi lodged a police report alleging thatMohd Khalil Yaakob misappropriated state resources asMenteri Besar of Pahang then.[4]
His father was a former minister of Malaysia : Almarhum Dr Abdul Rahman Talib.
His son, Ahmad Farhan Fauzi is currently the political secretary to the Prime Minister,Anwar Ibrahim
