TheFasanjus family (also spelledFasanjas), was the name of aPersian[1] noble-family which served theBuyid dynasty. The first member of the family wasAbu'l-Fadl al-Abbas ibn Fasanjas, a rich nobleman native toShiraz, who was in the service of the two Buyid brothersImad al-Dawla andMu'izz al-Dawla. He later died in 953 at the age 77.
