Tamonash Ghosh ofAITC defeated Malina Mistry ofCPI(M) in 2001.[5] Sudhir Bhattacharya ofINC defeated Arati Dasgupta ofCPI(M) in 1996.[6] Arati Dasgupta ofCPI(M) defeated Sudhir Bhattacharya ofINC in 1991[7] and Dinabandhu Halder ofINC in 1987.[8] Nimai Chandra Das ofCPI(M) defeated Asraf Ali ofINC in 1982[9] and Mohini Mohan Parui ofINC in 1977.[10][11]
