TheFIBA U16 Women's AmeriCup, previously known as theFIBA Under-16 Women's Americas Championship, is theAmericasbasketball championship for women's under-16 national teams that takes place every two years in theFIBA Americas zone. The inaugural edition of this event was held in 2009.
The top four finishers qualify for theFIBA Under-17 Women's Basketball World Cup.
USA andCanada participate in the Under-16 Women's AmeriCup without playing qualifiers. The top three teams from theUnder-15 Women's Centrobasket along with the top three teams from theUnder-15 Women's South American Championship qualify for this event.
