Football Club Noah (Armenian:Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Նոա,romanizedFutbolayin Akumb Noa), commonly known asNoah, is anArmenian professionalfootball club based inAbovyan. Founded in 2017 asFC Artsakh, they currently play in theArmenian Premier League.[1]

History

The club was founded asFC Artsakh in 2017 and played its first match in a goalless draw againstFC Banants on 2 June 2017.[citation needed] Noah played its first competitive season in the2017–18 Armenian First League, finishing second and achieving promotion to theArmenian Premier League.[2]

After a disappointing 8th-place finish in the2018–19 season, the club was sold to Karen Abrahamyan, who rebranded it asFC Noah in 2019. The name references the biblicalNoah, whoseArk came to rest onMountains of Ararat, traditionally identified withMount Ararat.[3] Noah won the2019–20 Armenian Cup, defeatingArarat-Armenia on penalties.[4]

In 2024, they qualified for theUEFA Conference League league phase after defeatingRužomberok 4–3 on aggregate in the play-off round, becoming the first club in Conference League history to successfully navigate all four rounds of qualification. They had beatenShkëndija,Sliema Wanderers and Greek powerhouseAEK Athens in the previous qualifying rounds.[5]

At the end of the2024–25 season, Noah completed their firstLeague andCup double.[6]

Noah, in the 2025/26 season, became the first Armenian club to qualify for the main stage of a European club competition for the second year in a row.

Colours and badge

AsFC Artsakh the club's main kit colours were red and white, however following the rebranding, the club chose black and a light green to represent the club.Umbro became the kit supplier for the2019–20, following two years of usingNike.

Badge history

From 2017 to 2019, the club operated as FC Artsakh, bearing a red round badge with an eagle. Following the 2019 rebranding as FC Noah, the club's emblem was changed to a simple black text "Yerevan Armenia Football Club Noah".

From 2024-25 season FC Noah rebranded own logo.[11]

Stadium

At the beginning phase of the2018–19 Armenian Premier League season, FC Noah used theMika Stadium, located in theShengavit neighborhood ofYerevan, as their home ground until matchday 8. They were then forced to leave the Mika Stadium due to the inappropriate pitch conditions, and between matchday 9 and 14 they played at thePyunik Stadium before moving to the artificial-turf pitch of theDzoraghbyur Training Centre at the eastern outskirts of Yerevan. For the2019–20 Armenian Premier League season, FC Noah played at theAlashkert Stadium located in the same neighbourhood of Yerevan.

After starting the2021–22 Armenian Premier League season playing their home games at theYerevan Football Academy Stadium inYerevan, Noah moved their home games to theArmavir City Stadium inArmavir in February 2022.[12]

From 2023-24 season FC Noah started to play in Abovyan City Stadium named after Vahagn Tumasyan.
