Excelsior Maassluis is afootball club fromMaassluis, Netherlands, founded in 1918. The club's home ground is the 5,000 capacity arena known as Sportpark Dijkpolder.
Excelsior won theHoofdklasse of2013 and became champions of theTopklasse just two years later.[2] Also known as the Tricolores, Excelsior due to their 2016 title win, was promoted to theTweede Divisie. As so in the division'sinaugural season Excelsior ended up at fifth in the league's standings.[2]
In the2023–24 season, Excelsior finished 16th and had to participate in therelegation playoffs. However, Excelsior defeatedUSV Hercules 4–1 on aggregate in the first round,Harkemase Boys 3–2 in the second round, and then defeatedSC Genemuiden 6–1 in the final, retaining theirTweede Divisie status.[3]
