TheEvangelical Reformed Church of India , also calledEvangelical Reformed Church in India (ERCI) is a denominationContinental Reformed in India, founded in 2003, through the NGOMission of Peace Making.[1][2]
In 2003, the NGOMission of Peace Making began evangelism and church planting work inHimachal Pradesh, Punjab, northernChandigarh and easternOrissa,[1] with the help of local churches of theUnited Reformed Churches in North America and otherContinental Reformed churches of the United States . Consequently, churches have been planted in several cities.[6][7]
For the training of new members and future leaders, the Reformed Theological Institute was created, directed by Rev. Anup Hiwale.[8]
From the expansion of the work, 84 churches were organized.[6]
The church has relationships with theUnited Reformed Churches in North America.[6]
In addition, he is a member of theReformed and Presbyterian Fellowship of India,[1]World Reformed Fellowship[3] and theInternational Conference of Reformed Churches (since 2022).[4][5]
