TheEvangelical Council of Venezuela is an organization ofevangelical mission agencies inVenezuela. Samuel Olson is the current president, with José Piñero as vice president.[1] The group (unsuccessfully) defended theNew Tribes Mission after announcement of their expulsion from Venezuela in 2005 byHugo Chávez.[2]
