The company was established in 2000 and it has been managed since launch byAlexander Darwall, Chief Investment Officer of Devon Equity Management Limited.[4]
The company changed its name from Jupiter European Opportunities Trust to European Opportunities Trust in November 2019 when the portfolio manager, Alexander Darwall, moved from Jupiter Asset Management Limited to establish Devon Equity Management Limited together with colleagues, Luca Emo Capodilista and Richard Pavry.[5]
Thechairman is Matthew Dobbs and the other non-executive directors are Jeroen Huysinga, Sharon Brown, Lord Lamont of Lerwick and Virginia Holmes.[6]
