Eupithecia anticaria is amoth in the familyGeometridaefirst described byFrancis Walker in 1862. It is found from easternNewfoundland and Labrador acrossCanada to westernBritish Columbia, south to northernNew Mexico andApache andCoconino counties inArizona.[3]

Thewingspan is about 18 mm. Adults are on wing from May to July.
