Eugen Schmidt (born 23 October 1975 inUst-Kamenogorsk) is a German politician for theAfD and from2021 to2025 member of theBundestag, the federal diet.

Life and politics

Schmidt was born 1975 in the Soviet city ofOskemen into a family ofGerman descent and later became German citizen.[1] Schmidt was elected to the Bundestag in 2021.[2] Schmidt has been known for a consistentpro-Russian position and his employee Wladimir Sergijenko was confirmed to be a FSB contact.[3][4]
