Euan Stainbank (born 27 January 2000) is a ScottishLabour Party politician who is theMember of Parliament (MP) forFalkirk since2024.[1]
Elected at the age of 24, he is currently Scotland's youngest serving MP.[2] He was elected in the2022 Falkirk Council election inFalkirk South ward.[3] He served as deputy leader of the Labour group.[4] He was one of two Scottish Labour MPs to vote against cutting theWinter Fuel Payment in the 2024 parliament vote.[5]
He graduated from theUniversity of Stirling in 2021 with anLLB inScots Law. "During his time at the university, he was president of both the Debating and Law societies, which won him the Best Society President award", according to the University of Stirling's student paper.[6]
