Eterobarb (Antilon) is abarbiturate derivative. It has mainlyanticonvulsant action with lesssedative effects than the closely related compoundphenobarbital. It saw reasonable success in clinical trials, but is not in widespread medical use.[1][2]
Eterobarb can be synthesized by reactingphenobarbital withchloromethyl methyl ether in presence of a base.[3]
