Eska Rock (often stylized asEska ROCK) is a Polish radio channel broadcast by Grupa Radiowa Time. The station plays mainlymodern rock,indie rock andalternative rock, from "classic" rock songs, to the newest "hits".
Eska Rock started broadcasting inPoznań on 22 November 2004, inŁódź andWarsaw on 5 September 2005 and inKraków on 20 March 2006.[2] From 2 June 2008 to 1 December 2013, Eska Rock broadcast in 18 Polish cities. On 2 December 2013, the frequencies on which Eska Rock broadcast were switched with the frequencies of another station owned by Grupa Radiowa Time, VOX FM. Since then until 2 July 2024, Eska Rock was broadcast only in Warsaw at 93.3 MHz.[3] On 27 March 2024 Eska Rock's owner acquired its competitor Muzo.fm fromTelewizja Polsat and requestedKRRiT to change its name toEska ROCK and at the same time to rename the station broadcasting locally in Warsaw toEska ROCK Warszawa. On 2 July 2024 Muzo.fm was shut down with Eska Rock taking its place.[4]
Eska Rock headquarters were located inPrimate's Palace, Warsaw, until in 2010 the station moved to 10, Jubilerska Street in Warsaw.
