Erin Rowell (née Normoyle) (born 19 January 1983)[1] is an Australian Paralympic cyclist. She won a bronze medal at her first Para-cycling Track World Championships. Prior to transferring to cycling, she was an internationalmotocross rider.
In 2010, she was involved in a serious head-on motor vehicle accident nearRed Bud, Illinois. She suffered multiple fractures to her leg, as well as chest and rib injuries.[2] Rowell with her husband Ryan operate in the TORQ F1T fitness centre inTorquay, Victoria.[3]
In 2004, she moved to the United States to pursue a career in motocross riding and furtherher modelling career.
In 2022, Rowell became firstAusCycling’s Fast Track program to be selected to a national team after her earning selection for the2022 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships inSaint-Quentin-en-Yvelines,France.[4] In 2024, She is classified asC4 rider.
At the2022 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships inSaint-Quentin-en-Yvelines,France, she won the bronze medal in the Women's Time Trial C5 and finished 11th in the Women's Individual Pursuit C5.[1]
2023 Para UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Glasgow, she won the bronze medal in the Women's Time Trial C4.
At the2024 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships inRio de Janeiro, she finished fourth in the Women's Time Trial C4 and ninth in the Women's Individual Pursuit C4.[5] At the2025 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she won two gold medals - Women's Sprint C4 and Mixed Team Sprint C1-5 and the bronze medal in the Women's Elimination C4.[6]
