Erin Kathleen McPike (born June 28, 1983) is a public relations executive forFacebook. She started her career as apolitical consultant andjournalist. She has worked forCNN,NBC News,National Journal, andRealClearPolitics.[1]

Early life and education

She was born on June 28, 1983, inCincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Amy McPike (née, Burrill), where she graduated fromSycamore High School in 2001. McPike obtained herbaccalaureatewith honors fromAmerican University inWashington, D.C. in 2005, majoring in political science and journalism.[2][3][4]

Career

She started her journalism career atNational Journal, where she was a writer, and moved on toNBC News, being a reporter for the network. McPike went back toNational Journal, where she served as their political reporter. Her next position was national political reporter forRealClearPolitics, before going on toCNN as a correspondent for the channel.[2][5] She later worked on the press team for formerStarbucks CEOHoward Schultz as he explored an independent presidential campaign.[6]
