Erbil Governorate (Kurdish:پارێزگای ھەولێر,romanized: Parêzgeha Hewlêr;[3][4]Arabic:محافظة أربيل,romanized: Muḥāfaẓat Arbīl[5]) is agovernorate ofIraq in theKurdistan Region. It is the capital and economic hub of the semi-autonomousKurdistan Region ofIraq.[6]
