Eparchy of Timok (Serbian:Тимочка епархија) is one of theeparchies of theSerbian Orthodox Church, with the seat atZaječar,Serbia. It was established in 1833, as a diocese within theMetropolitanate of Belgrade.[1] The eparchy was named after theTimok region in eastern part of Serbia. It was abolished in 1886, but recreated already in 1891.[2] Since 2014, it is headed by bishop Ilarion (Golubović).[3]
