Ensign is ahamlet insouthern Alberta, Canada withinVulcan County.[2] It is located approximately 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) south ofHighway 23 and 78 kilometres (48 mi) southeast ofCalgary.

The community was named for theCanadian Red Ensign.[3]
