Enrique Contreras III (born May 22, 1992) is a Mexican former professionalstock car racing driver. He has competed in theNASCAR Xfinity Series,NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and most notably,NASCAR Mexico Series.^[1] He is the son of formerIndy Lights racerEnrique Contreras II and nephew ofNASCAR driverCarlos Contreras.^[2]

Contreras has run the full schedule before, in 2011, 2014 and 2015. He broke through in 2014, scoring his first four top ten finishes while finishing all but one race (mechanical problems atNuevo Autodromo de Queretaro).^[3][4] In 2015, he added three more top tens, with just one crash.^[5]

Contreras made hisK&N Pro Series East debut in 2012, driving four races.^[6] He recorded a best finish of 11th atGreenville-Pickens Speedway.^[7] In 2013, Contreras ran the first three races of the season,^[8] scoring 25th atBristol Motor Speedway,^[9] 19th at Greensville-Pickens^[10] and 24th atFive Flags Speedway.^[11]

Contreras debuted in 2014, driving the No. 07RaceTracChevrolet Silverado forRick Ware Racing andSS-Green Light Racing to a 20th-place finish atMartinsville Speedway.^[12] He returned to the Truck Series in 2016, driving the No. 71 Chevrolet Silverado for his familyContreras Motorsports at Gateway, finishing 20th.

Contreras' first race was the 2015Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 forRick Ware Racing, finishing 34th in the No. 15Adhler Pinturas/Coen SupplyChevrolet Camaro.^[13]
