The film enjoys cult classic status in the Kannada cinema industry. The core plot of the movie is based on the Russian novelCrime and Punishment byFyodor Dostoevsky.[1]
In an interview,Ambareesh said that his character inElu Suttina Kote had a lot of scope for performance.[2]
The music for the film was composed by carnatic musicianL. Vaidyanathan.
