Elsa Jacquemot (born 3 May 2003) is a Frenchtennis player.[1]She has career-highWTA rankings of world No. 58 in singles achieved on the 20 of October 2025 and No. 325 in doubles.[2] She is the current French No. 2 player.

2020: WTA and Major debuts, Roland Garros Junior champion

Jacquemot made herWTA Tour main-draw debut at the2020 Lyon Open in the doubles draw, partneringEstelle Cascino.[3]

She was awarded a wildcard into the women's main draw of the2020 French Open, but lost to qualifierRenata Zarazúa in the first round.[4] She participated also in the ladies' doubles main draw as a wildcard, partneringElixane Lechemia. Seeded third, she then entered and won thegirls' singles competition at the2020 French Open.[5]

2021–2023: French Open first win, US Open debut

Jacquemot was awarded a wildcard into the main draw at the2021 French Open but lost in the first round to 21st seedElena Rybakina in the first round.[6]

She was awarded a third wildcard into the2022 French Open and defeatedHeather Watson for her first major match win,[7] before losing in the second round to 21st seedAngelique Kerber.[8]

Jacquemot reached the main draw at the2023 US Open as a qualifier, making her debut at this major, but lost her opening match againstLesia Tsurenko in three sets.[9]

She made her firstWTA 125 final at the2023 Open de Limoges, losing to fifth seedCristina Bucșa in the final,[10] having defeatedBerfu Cengiz,[11] third seedArantxa Rus,[12] wildcardAnastasija Sevastova[13] and seventh seedErika Andreeva[14] on her way to the championship match.

2024–2025: French Open third round, WTA 500 semifinal, French No. 2

Jacquemot received a wildcard for the2024 French Open and also returned to the top 150 on 20 May 2024.[15] She lost in the first round toAna Bogdan.[16]

She made herWimbledon debut as a lucky loser in July 2024, although again suffered a defeat in the first round, this time toSloane Stephens.[17]

Jacquemot reached the semifinals at the2024 Open de Limoges with wins overAnastasia Tikhonova,[18] eighth seedAnastasia Zakharova[19] and lucky loserManon Léonard.[20] She lost in the last four toCéline Naef.[21] At thesame tournament, she won her first WTA 125 doubles title, partneringMargaux Rouvroy, to defeatErika Andreeva andSéléna Janicijevic in the final.[22]

Once more entering as a wildcard at the2025 French Open, Jacquemot defeatedMaria Sakkari[23] andAlycia Parks[24] to reach the third round, where she lost to fellow wildcard and eventual semifinalistLoïs Boisson.[25]At the2025 Wimbledon Championships, she recorded her first grass court major win, defeating 27th seedMagda Linette,[26] before losing toBelinda Bencic in the second round.[27]

Back on clay courts later in July 2025, Jacquemot was runner-up at the WTA 125 event inContrexéville, losing toFrancesca Jones in the final.[28] As a result she made her top 100 debut in the WTA singles rankings on 14 July 2025, the 17th player to accomplish the feat in the season.[29]

In August 2025, she qualified for the main-draw atTennis in the Land, going on to reach the quarterfinals with wins overZhu Lin[30] andSolana Sierra.[31] Jacquemot lost in the last eight toAnn Li.[31] At the2025 US Open, Jacquemot defeatedMarie Bouzková,[32] before losing to 31st seedLeylah Fernandez in the second round.[33]Following reaching her first WTA 500 semifinal at the2025 Guadalajara Open Akron, defeating two seeds in a row en route, top seedElise Mertens and sixth seedTatjana Maria, Jacquemot moved to a new career-high singles ranking of world No. 62 on 15 September 2025 and became the French No. 2 player.[34][35]
