Ellyn Novak Hefner is an American politician who has served as a member of theOklahoma House of Representatives from the 87th district since November 16, 2022.

Education

She graduated fromMount St. Mary High School inOklahoma City, Oklahoma.[1]

Career

Hefner worked as a lobbyist fordisability rights for adults and children withdevelopmental disabilities for eighteen years.[2]

As of 2022, she also worked as a financial advisor atMass Mutual.[2]

Oklahoma House of Representatives

Hefner announced her campaign for theOklahoma House of Representatives' 87th district in2022 to succeed retiring RepresentativeCollin Walke. She was the soleDemocratic candidate and did not have a primary.[2] TheEdmond Democratic Women's chapter endorsed her.[3] She facedRepublican Gloria Banister in the November election.[4] She won the November election and was sworn in on November 16, 2022.[5][6]

Personal life

Hefner is a widow with three children.[3]
