In algebra, anelliptic algebra is a certainregular algebra of aGelfand–Kirillov dimension three (quantum polynomial ring in three variables) that corresponds to a cubic divisor in the projective spaceP2. If the cubic divisor happens to be anelliptic curve, then the algebra is called aSklyanin algebra. The notion is studied in the context ofnoncommutative projective geometry.
