Elizabeth Gibney is a senior physics reporter atNature.[1] She has written forScientific American,BBC andCERN.
Gibney studied theNatural Sciences Tripos at theUniversity of Cambridge.[2] She completed aMaster of Science (MSc) postgraduate degree in Science Communication atImperial College London.[2]
Gibney worked forResearch Fortnight. Gibney worked in the communications team for theCompact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment atCERN.[3] She has been described as "feminist science journalist".[4] She worked atTimes Higher Education between 2012 and 2013.[5] She dubbed the excitement surroundingparticle physics after detection of theHiggs boson asHiggsteria.[6]
