Ekaterina Valeryevna Prokofyeva (Russian:Екатерина Валерьевна Прокофьева; born March 13, 1991) is a Russianwater polo player.[1] She competed at the2016 Summer Olympics for theRussian national team in theWomen's event winning the bronze medal.[2] She had previously competed at the2008 and2012 Summer Olympics.[3]
She also competed at the2013 Summer Universiade inKazan where she won the gold medal.[citation needed]
Prokofyeva was named Best Female Player of the Year at the 2018 Total Player Awards.[4]
