Jay Frederick Allen II (born November 22, 2002) is an American professionalbaseballoutfielder for theCincinnati Reds organization. Listed at 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) and 190 pounds (86 kg), he bats and throws right-handed.

Allen played high school baseball, football, and basketball atJohn Carroll Catholic High School inFort Pierce, Florida.[1][2] Allen committed to playcollege baseball for theFlorida Gators.[3]

Allen was selected in the2021 Major League Baseball draft by theCincinnati Reds as the final selection of the first round; he was the 30th player selected and the Reds' second selection of the first round, as the Reds had received a compensatory pick due to theLos Angeles Dodgers signingTrevor Bauer.[4][5] Allen signed with the Reds on July 20, 2021, for a $2.4 millionsigning bonus.[6]

Allen made his professional debut with theRookie-levelArizona Complex League Reds, slashing .328/.440/.557 with three home runs, 11 RBI, and 14 stolen bases over 19 games.[7] He opened the 2022 season with theDaytona Tortugas of theSingle-AFlorida State League.[8]

During the 2023 season, Allen missed three months due to a torn thumb ligament; when healthy, he batted .163/.320/.250 with two home runs, four RBI, and 16 stolen bases in 31 games for the ACL Reds and High-ADayton Dragons.[9] He returned to Dayton in 2024, playing in 109 games and hitting .224/.372/.345 with 10 home runs, 40 RBI, and 35 stolen bases.[10]

Allen made 118 appearances for the Double-AChattanooga Lookouts in 2025, slashing .227/.308/.343 with eight home runs, 60 RBI, and 21 stolen bases.[11]

Edwin Zaed Arroyo (born August 25, 2003) is a Puerto Rican professionalbaseballshortstop for theCincinnati Reds ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Arroyo attended Arecibo Baseball Academy inArecibo, Puerto Rico before coming to the United States to attend Central Pointe Christian Academy inKissimmee, Florida for his senior season.[12]

Arroyo was drafted by theSeattle Mariners in the second round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft.[13] He made his professional debut that August with theArizona Complex League Mariners. He started 2022 with theModesto Nuts.[14][15]

On July 29, 2022, the Mariners traded Arroyo,Noelvi Marte, Andrew Moore, andLevi Stoudt to the Reds for pitcherLuis Castillo.[16] He won the 2023Midwest League Top MLB Prospect Award with theDayton Dragons.[17]

On March 20, 2024, Arroyo underwent season-ending surgery to repair a tornlabrum in his left shoulder. The injury occurred when he dove back to a base on a pickoff attempt during spring training.[18]

In 2025, Arroyo made 120 appearances for the Double-AChattanooga Lookouts, batting .284/.345/.371 with three home runs, 44 RBI, and 12 stolen bases. On November 18, 2025, the Reds added Arroyo to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[19]

Leonardo Andres Balcazar (born June 17, 2004) is a Venezuelan professionalbaseballinfielder for theCincinnati Reds ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Balcazar signed with theCincinnati Reds as an international free agent in January 2021.[20] He played in theArizona Fall League after the 2025 season.[21] On November 18, 2025, the Reds added Balcazar to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[22]

Alfredo Enrique Duno (born January 7, 2006) is a Venezuelan professionalbaseballcatcher in theCincinnati Reds organization.

Duno signed with theCincinnati Reds as an international free agent in January 2023.[23][24] He made his professional debut that year with theDominican Summer League Reds.[25]

Duno played 2024 with theDaytona Tortugas.


Ty Floyd

Joseph Tyson Floyd (born August 28, 2001) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theCincinnati Reds organization.

Floyd grew up inRockmart, Georgia and attendedRockmart High School.[26] He was named the Class 7AA Georgia Player of the Year as a junior after posting a 10–1 record with a 0.57 ERA and 127 strikeouts.[27]

Floyd made 20 pitching appearances, all in relief, during his freshman season with the LSU Tigers and had a 4.44 ERA and 39 strikeouts over24+13 innings pitched.[28] After the season, he playedsummer collegiate baseball for theBristol State Liners of theAppalachian League.[29] Floyd pitched in 16 games with 10 starts as a sophomore and went 5–4 with a 3.77 ERA and 70 strikeouts.[30] Floyd finished his junior season with a 7–0 record and 4.35 ERA with 120 strikeouts as LSU won the2023 Men's College World Series (MCWS).[31] He set a MCWS record with 17 strikeouts in the first game of the finals against Florida.[32]

Floyd was selected by theCincinnati Reds with the 38th pick of the2023 Major League Baseball draft. He signed with the Reds on July 16, 2023, for $2,097,500.[33]

Floyd made his professional debut in 2025 with theDaytona Tortugas, pitching to a 0–1 record and 3.25 ERA over eight starts.[34] On July 6, he was placed on the full-season injured list ending his season.

José Alejandro Franco (born November 25, 2000) is a Venezuelan professionalbaseballpitcher for theCincinnati Reds ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Franco signed with theCincinnati Reds as an international free agent in October 2018. He made his professional debut in 2019 with theDominican Summer League Reds. He did not pitch in 2020 due to the Minor League Baseball season being cancelled because of theCOVID-19 pandemic. He pitched 2021 and 2022 with theDaytona Tortugas and missed the 2023 after undergoingTommy John Surgery.[35]

Franco returned in 2024 to pitch for Daytona and theDayton Dragons.[36] He started 2025 with theChattanooga Lookouts before being promoted to theLouisville Bats.[37]

On November 6, 2025, the Reds added Franco to their40-man roster to prevent him from reaching minor league free agency.[38]

Luke Michael Hayden (born December 5, 2002) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theCincinnati Reds organization.

Hayden attendedEdgewood High School inEllettsville, Indiana, where he playedbaseball and graduated in 2021.[39][40] He went unselected in the2021 Major League Baseball draft and enrolled atIndiana University to playcollege baseball for theIndiana Hoosiers. After two seasons at Indiana, he transferred toIndiana State University to play for theSycamores.[41] In his lone season for the Sycamores in 2024, Hayden started 16 games and went 7–2 with a 3.81 ERA and 91 strikeouts over 78 innings.[42] He was then selected by theCincinnati Reds in the eighth round of the2024 Major League Baseball draft.[43][44] He signed for $197,500, forgoing his commitment to transfer toLouisiana State University.[45]

After signing, Hayden made his professional debut with theDaytona Tortugas, appearing in four games for the season.[46] In 2025, Hayden was a non-roster invitee to spring training and was named to Cincinnati's Spring Breakout roster.[47] He was assigned to theDayton Dragons for the 2025 season.[48] Hayden started 24 games for Dayton, going 4–7 with a 4.09 ERA and 79 strikeouts, holding batters to a .228batting average.[49] He was assigned to play in theArizona Fall League with thePeoria Javelinas after the season.[50]

Luke Kenneth Holman (born January 6, 2003) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theCincinnati Reds organization.

Holman attendedWilson High School inWest Lawn, Pennsylvania, where he played baseball. As a senior in 2021, he pitched to a 7–1 record, a 0.88 ERA, and 113 strikeouts over55+23 innings.[51] He was selected by theToronto Blue Jays in the 20th round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead enrolled at theUniversity of Alabama to playcollege baseball for theAlabama Crimson Tide.[52][53]

As a freshman at Alabama in 2022, Holman appeared in 15 games in relief, going 0–2 with a 5.68 ERA over 19 innings.[54] He moved into the starting rotation as a sophomore in 2023 and went 7–4 with a 3.67 ERA over 15 starts.[55] After the season, he transferred toLouisiana State University (LSU).[56][57] He was also selected to play for theTeam USA Collegiate National Baseball Team.[58] Holman started 16 games for LSU in 2024 and went 9–4 with a 2.75 ERA and 127 strikeouts over91+23 innings.[59]

Holman was selected by theCincinnati Reds with the 71st overall pick in the2024 Major League Baseball draft.[60] On July 23, 2024, Holman signed with the Reds on a contract worth $997,000.[61] He made his professional debut in 2025 with theDaytona Tortugas.[62] After two starts, he was placed on the 7-day injured list before being transferred to the full-season injured list, thus ending his season.[63]

Holman was diagnosed withanaplastic large-cell lymphoma when he was seven and underwentchemotherapy for one year before returning to baseball.[64]

Tyson Lewis

Tyson John Lewis (born January 10, 2006) is an American professionalbaseballshortstop in theCincinnati Reds organization.

Lewis attendedMillard West High School inOmaha, Nebraska.[65] As a senior, he was the NebraskaGatorade Baseball Player of the Year after hitting .496 with eighthome runs, 41runs batted in (RBI) and 31stolen bases.[66]

Lewis was selected by theCincinnati Reds in the second round of the2024 Major League Baseball draft.[67][68] He made his professional debut in 2025 with theArizona Complex League Reds.[69]

Héctor Junior Rodríguez (born March 11, 2004) is a Dominican professionalbaseballoutfielder for theCincinnati Reds ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Rodríguez signed with theNew York Mets as an international free agent in January 2021. He made his professional debut that season with theDominican Summer League Mets.

On July 28, 2022, the Mets traded Rodríguez and Jose Acuña to theCincinnati Reds forTyler Naquin andPhillip Diehl.[70] He started his Reds career that year with theArizona Complex League Reds andDaytona Tortugas. In 2023, he played with Daytona and theDayton Dragons.[71][72]

Rodríguez played 2024 with Dayton and started 2025 with theChattanooga Lookouts.[73] On November 18, 2025, the Reds added Rodríguez to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[74]
