Edith Charlotte Ottosen (June 18, 1928 – January 17, 1990)[1][2] was aNorwegian actress.
Ottosen was born inLevanger Municipality,Norway.[3] She grew up in Copenhagen, and in 1951 she debuted at theAarhus Theater.[2] From 1954 to 1984, she was engaged with theRogaland Theater,[3][4] where she was a driving force and played a wide repertoire, including Evelinde inArne Garborg'sLæraren, Elmire inMolière'sTartuffe, Maria inAnton Chekhov'sUncle Vanya, and the locally popular Bertine inLeiv Isaksen'sMaktå på Straen.[2]
