Eddy Bouwmans (born 30 January 1968) is aDutch formerroad bicycle racer.[1] Bouwmans currently works as a Hospitality Coordinator forUCI WorldTeamVisma–Lease a Bike.[2]
In 1989 at theTour DuPont Bouwmans finished third in the opening time-trial less than four seconds behind the winner.[3]Bouwmans won theyoung rider classification in the1992 Tour de France.[4] He finished fourteenth in the Tour that year.[5] In 1996 Bouwmans came ninth at theTour of Austria.[6]
In 2013 Bouwmans admitted to having usedtestosterone andcortisone as a professional rider. He also admitted to have had three injections ofEPO in 1994.[7]
